A few weeks ago we had huge storms go through our area and our end of the storm was mostly Ice. As little as 45 minutes away from us (at Brian's parents house) got about 24 inches of snow and we got about 3 inches of ice and 3 inches of snow. It was a weird storm. This is a picture of a railing on our deck with 3 inches of ice on top of it.

Cooper scooped up some snow off of the floor (gross, I know) before I could clean it up and he did not appreciate that very much. Too funny, this face was accompanied by a big chill that shook his whole body!!

So you literally could not walk up our driveway and I thought I would be smart and walk to the mailbox on the grass and that did not work either. I slipped and fell right on my touchy. The grass was all matted down by layers of ice. My video of Addie experimenting on the slippery driveway won't load and I am so sad about that. There is something so funny about seeing a kid try to walk up ice and fall on their rear. I am horrible i guess but I was laughing the WHOLE time I was filming her.
I wish I would have taken a picture of a few days after the storm (After it had snowed about 6 inches on top of that) when Brian and I decided to tackle the driveway. We were breaking through inches and inches of ice especially at the bottom of the driveway where it had pooled a little. We would take turns shoveling the soft snow on top and breaking through the ice. The trick was not to fall on your butt while you were shoveling the top snow. It was humorous. We were pretty sore after that, mostly from trying to stay upright!!!!
While we were shoveling ,Brian got a text from his Brother who lives in California that said... 65 degrees and sunny. So Brian replied... Nice, I am shoveling my ice rink. Seriously it was a crazy storm.
(p.s. now it is February 20th and all the snow is gone and we have been able to go to the park all week. Yay!!!!) Missouri weather is crazy!
