Big Month

August 2011 was a big month for Addie. Lots of excitement and new things. We bought a house and moved in the weekend before school started. Then she started kindergarten.

She was lucky enough to have her grandma work at her school. What a neat thing!! That has been a blessing for her and for me! She is one lucky girl!

Such a big girl getting off the bus!
She loved getting up to get ready for school
Shortly after school started it was Addie's birthday. Since we had just moved in the week before she did not know very many people so we decided to do a spa day with her best friends. Her cousin Anna and Her best friend Avery. Each girl had a pamper chair complete with purses filled with accessories.
Annette, Tammy and Kalana (Brian's Aunt and cousin) came over to help paint nails, and glam up the girls.
Then we decorated some scrumptious cupcakes
Here are the two boys that wanted to be part of the party but only to get a cupcake so they sat on the floor away from the silly girls. Ha ha! they tried to be sneaky! But that frosting on their faces gives them away. Love these boys.
Cousins are the best kinds of friends. We loved having these guys around for a while when Andy was deployed. We miss them terribly now!
Friends since infancy! Still as close as can be! So sweet!
We also decorated flip flops to add to our pampered accessories so we could head out to dinner in style!
All glammed up and ready to hit the town! (notice how bare our walls are, remember we have only been in our house about 2 weeks)
 Precious!
 Birthday Girl!!
Addie's school as gone completely non-edible for birthday treats this year. So this is our alternative. I know water is edible but I didn't think that qualified so I just made labels and tied a crazy straw to a water bottle and it was a big hit!!
On her real birthday going to school! She is so excited. I stayed a little longer when I dropped her off so I could hear her name in the announcements. I then went back up to the school and brought her lunch. It was very fun and she had a great day.
Celebrating with her birthday cake. Instead of me making a fancy cake she wanted to make it herself so I made fondant and she did all the work. Callen and Anna look quite impressed with her work.
August of 2011 was full of new beginnings and a lot of fun! I am one proud, happy momma!
