Separation

Brian and Callen are in Omaha right now for Our new little niece Eva's baby blessing. Addie has really been missing Callen. It is really pretty cute. So they were talking on the phone today and I obviously could not here what Callen was saying but this is how Addie's end went.

Addie,"Hi Callen, are you having fun with Daddy?"
...
"Angelita's house is fun isn't it?"
...
"So you got a sliver?"
...
"Awwww" "I miss you so much."
...
"Thank you." (she said that very enthusiastically so I don't know what that was about)
...
"I can't hear you"
...
"Callen, you have to speak louder."
...
" Callen you have to talk into the phone"
...
" Callen, I can't hear you."
...
"You have to talk LOUDER!!"
...
"oh."
...
"Callen, when i get off the phone I am going to make you something"
...
"Yeah, I am going to draw you a picture."
...
"I love you, bye"

So sweet. I really enjoyed listening to them talk on the phone. It was like they were long lost friends. My kids are the best!! They will not be gone very long but we all ready can't wait for them to get back. I guess i will make my own Mother's Day breakfast tomorrow. that is okay. i will make something Really good!!

preschool graduation

My little kiddos graduated from Little Tiger preschool last week. It was a sweet moment for me. I am so glad that we learned about this program that the high school does and that they got to participate in a few weeks of preschool.

Here they are waiting for graduation to begin. They are very excited, can't you tell?

The ceremony started with all the kids standing to say the pledge of allegiance. It was pretty impressive. After wards she asked the little tigers why do we say the pledge? Where is it that we are thankful that we live? and a little boy that goes to church with us (sitting next to Addie) says, "I live at home!" It was so funny. So as each child's name was called they walked up to get a diploma. Addie and Callen did great and then when connor (next to Addie) came back from getting his, Callen leaned over Addie and gave him a high five. It was so stinkin cute. I took a video of it all and it was a cute, short, ceremony.

Here is a picture of them throwing their hats as graduates!

My little graduates!!

All the kids from church that went to Little Tiger preschool this year. They were taking a picture so nicely and then when I asked if My kids could jump in too all the kids went haywire and wanted to stand/sit in completely different places, so this is the best we could get. back row: Carter, Connor, Addie, Kimber, and Callen. Front row:Henry

With their teacher Mrs. Gibson.

Also at graduation there were...

Roller skate party!

I was asked by my friend Vickie to make roller skate invitations and a cake for her daughter's birthday.

I was very very please with the invitations and not so much with the cake. It tasted awesome but i did not love the finished product. (these are pictures of the invitations but not the cake I used, This is the preliminary one I made the real one taller like the top picture)

I actually like the design of the practice one better.

These are two of my practice ones. I do not know what I was thinking when i did the real one!

Oh, well. The party was very very fun and Jaidyn liked it and that is all the matters. Addie and I were invited to the party. Addie had never been rollerskating before and she had such a blast and could even do it by herself (a little).

She was so stinking cute in those roller skates. They were so little.

Watch how good she was. She is so cute.

Okay so she needs a little work but at least she falls gracefully.

here is the hokey-pokey. We definitely need to go skating again. She had so much fun.

Mommy, come look!

So the other night Brian and I were reading our scriptures together and we decided not to invite the kids because everything was so peaceful in their rooms and they were actually getting along. We thought, hmm how nice, lets just read while we have peace. So we had finished reading and were just talking and discussing our reading when Addie comes running in and says, "Mommy come see, come see!" She is so excited that she can not even stand still and she is skipping around in circles with an excited voice. So she darts down the hallway to Callen's room, throws her arms up in the air and says, "ta-da!" As I round the corner and see into his room I just fell on the floor laughing. There was nothing else to do but laugh.

Yes! Every single toy in Callen's room was in his bed. (and he had taken all of his clothes off, He is in a weird stage) Addie was so excited to show us all of their hard work. Callen was just chillin in there and then decided he could not get out and said, " I'm stuck, I'm stuck." What made it even funnier is when I looked in the closet and found this

Not a single item on the shelves. No books, No puzzles, No toys, nothing!!!! It was so funny. Too bad it happened after it was all ready past bed time. We were up pretty late cleaning it all up.

While this was one of the greatest sights that I had every been invited to "come see" We did have to explain to Addie that yes we were laughing but this is something that she should never do again. I am just glad that Brian and I were both in the mood for a good laugh instead of being annoyed that they had done this at bed time. It really is good to laugh at things in life. Especially when it involves your two incredibly adorable, incredibly crazy, incredibly wonderful children. Life is wonderful!!

Pee Wee Picasso

So we went to a pee wee Picasso class today sponsored by parents as teachers (a fabulous organization!) the kids got to do so many artistic things and we all had a blast. It was a fight to get the smock on Callen but it was well worth it.

There was spin art (Callen looks like he night be doing something that he is not supposed to)

Then we did bubble wrap painting. Look at those messy hands! We made hand prints on white paper with the paint on our hands when we were done playing on the bubble wrap.

Then there was play dough and stamping.

Followed by Karo syrup and tissue paper art

And good old fashioned art easel painting

Last but not least,
some fun sponge painting and rolling

WE HAD A BLAST!!!

Addie finally finished her swim lessons. This girl absolutely loves the water and wants to go swimming any time she can. However, when it comes to lessons she would cry every time. So we came up with a system where she would do one thing for her teacher and then get to come and see me and give me a hug. Then she would have to do two things the teacher asked her to do and then she could come and see me and give me five and a hug an so forth. It worked well and once she actually left my side and got in the water she loved it. Needless to say it will be quite some time before we try any kind of lesson again. (she is begging for dance lessons, so we'll see how long I can hold true to my 'trying no lesson" thing, How cute would dance lessons be?!!!)
