A day in the life

I think it appropriate to have my first post be about life with the Taylors. We started our day bright and early and went to the gym. Addie and Callen beg to go to the gym. They absolutely love it. I enjoy it myself. Afterwards we went to the park and played all the while Callen is throwing one fit after another. (I mean crazy fits) I couldn't handle it anymore so we went home. The fits and screaming continued so I called Brian at work and told him that I needed to take Callen to the doctor because he didn't feel well. I called the doctor and the only opening they had was in 1/2 hour. (it takes a 1/2 hour to get to the doctor) needless to say I did not get to shower after my workout. So we go to the doctor and Callen has two very very infected ears. AGAIN!! She said. "You are giving him pain medicine right? these look very painful!" I just almost cried and said no. he has just been very very cranky and I just thought he was a booger. Anyway we went to Wal-mart to get the prescription filled and it was a nightmare waiting for it but I didn't want him to take his nap without medicine in him. So to kill time I thought we would walk across the street to get lunch. I am holding Addie's hand (who has been very good this whole time) and I am trying to keep Callen on my hip and he is hitting me and struggling to get done and if I let him down he won't hold my hand and he runs away. I AM SO EXHAUSTED BY THIS TIME. Finally we get across the street, have a very stressful lunch, go back across the street and have to stop in the shade on the Wal-mart parking lot (off to the side under a tree) and have to change a massive poopy diaper. Then, of course, our prescription is still not ready. We browsed for a while and had a few tantrums and now we are FINALLY home and the kids are sleeping and I have some peace. Here is a picture of my peacefully sleeping boy with two ear aches. Luckily by the time they wake up I will be at work and Brian can hopefully have as much fun as I did. Being a mom is so great! A day in the life right?

Poor Callen! I first saw the picture and though "Hey, what a coincidence, he has the same shirt as Max!"... then I remembered where Max got the shirt. I hope he feels better now.
