heart beat

We went to the doctor on Monday and he did not want to listen for the heart beat because he apparently likes to ultra sounds right away to look at the baby and see the heart beat. I was pretty disappointed because I really wanted to hear it and know everything is okay. Luckily, we did not have to wait long for the appointment and we were able to see our baby.

We brought Addie and Callen with us with the intention of Brian watching them in the waiting room unless I needed him. The technician insisted on the kids coming in the room so we let them with strict orders that if they mis behave at all dad would bring them out. As soon as the lifted my shirt and squirt on the gel they were enthralled and the questions began. the technician loved the questions. It was so cute because they were legitimate questions by Addie. among them of course was: "Is it a brother or a sister?" along with

why do you put that green stuff on her tummy? (to which Callen replied Addie it is blue!)
Can I talk to her? (yes, she refers to the baby as a she)
Can I wave to her?
What is that moving? (it was the baby's arm, so cute!)
Can I have a picture of her?
Can I hang the picture in my room so I can show my baby when she gets bigger? (adorable I know)

They loved it. They loved seeing the baby on the t.v. and we showed them the heart beat and some body parts that we could define and when Addie started waving at the monitor and saying "Hi, baby I love you!" the technician could hardly handle that and just thought they were the cutest kids ever. they were surprisingly very very good in the room. We are very lucky to have such adorable kids.

So my due date is April 11th and everything looked fine!

I love their comments. How awesome, and totally adorable! I brought Sohvi with me to one of my ultransounds (with Lucy) and she really liked it too.

YAY! So exciting! I didn't take my kids in for the ultrasound, but I showed them the pictures when I was pregnant with Emma. The boys just looked at them and said "Huh? That's not a baby!"

Your kids are adorable!
