Happy Birthday 3-year-old

I can not believe Callen has been with us for 3 years now!! Time flies even when at times it seems to crawl. We had a great day on Saturday. It was very packed, productive, and fun.
Callen woke up and had a great morning as he realized it was his birthday when he saw the "birthday wall" and his cake in the fridge. We had Stake Basket ball tournaments that morning so we went out for birthday donuts on our way. Brian's mens team took the championship (hurray! this was good because then I knew it would be a good birthday for Callen after all!! ) and then Brian's Young mens team lost by 3 points. It was a great game.

Next came time to prepare for the birthday party. Callen had no specific theme just wanted all things boy. He wanted a race car cake, basketball pinata, and spiderman plates. Nothing matched, oh well, i can live with that. It was fun. Unfortunatley he has no boys his age around here so the girls had to endure the boy party and his only friends that are boys could not come. It was a blast though and he was so excited to finally get to hit the pinata after weeks of talking about it.

Brian's parents came down for the party as well and so later Callen's uncle Austin entertained him with his birthday toys while we finished up some painting in the baby's room and the older kids room. We are still not done but it is looking good. It was a very long day.
