Thanksgiving

Is is January already? Yes I am just posting about Thanksgiving and if we are lucky I might get to Christmas before it is completely out of my mind!

We went to Brian's parents in O'Fallon for Thanksgiving this year, his cousin Kalana and her boyfriend were there. Brian's Aunt Melanie and Uncle Kevin were there with there Son and his wife and beautiful grand daughter Aurora. Cooper and Aurora were cute little friends. Cooper was a little adventurous and thought she would be good to crawl on (that is what second cousins are for right?). It was pretty cute. We got some good video footage of the event. They were both so cute and at a fun age!!

Addie had a blast with her cousins like she always does!! Addie and Emma were being silly and laughing endlessly as they dressed up and and were doing some pretty dang cute posing!! They had us all laughing.
MaLeah is so sweet! She wanted in on the action.

Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous. We all enjoyed it very much. We all really enjoyed dessert too. This is how we do it around here. For some reason I can never decide the right dessert to make for Thanksgiving because they all seem like they need to be there so I just make all of them. We had 11 desserts here and i made 9 of them. I baked basically the two full days before thanksgiving. It is kind of my thing. I am happy to report they were ALL really yummy!

Cooper was (and still is) the most absolutely adorable thing on this earth. He enjoyed staring at the dog. It was so precious. He would stand up and lick the glass, tap on the glass and then just sit and stare at brendel. I think they have a special connection!! so Cute!

In the few days after the Holiday Kevin and Melanie and the whole crew did a lot of sight seeing. The first day they went to the arch and the kahokia mounds. Callen was really mean to me that morning so I made him stay home with me and Brian's mom took Addie along with everyone. It actually turned out to be a very nice, quiet, and relaxing day. Sometimes Callen is so mellow when he is by himself and there is now one (like his sister) to egg him on. The next day the plan was to go to the Zoo. I did not bring any of the kids big coats and it was pretty cold outside and so I could not take Cooper so again I stayed home and had a nice quiet day. You could say I was a party pooper but really it was wonderful. So that morning Uncle Kevin broke out a game they play where he asks scripture related questions and if you get it right you get a dollar. He pulled out a huge wad of dollar bills and I swear all the little kids about had heart attacks. It was such a fun game. Addie and Callen each got 5 dollars and they thought they were in Heaven.

(We adopted this game for FHE but instead of dollar bills we use marshmallows, the kicker is if you catch it in your mouth you get an extra one!! I know not quite as cool but we enjoy it!)

The holiday was a lot of fun. Being at Brian's Parents house is always a blast. The kids feel so good there and never want to leave.

HA! I haven't blogged in sooo long. I have so many things to catch up on myself so don't worry about your late Thanksgiving posting.

That FHE game sounds awesome!
