Rain Rain, Go Away

We have had a series of bad storms and heavy rain (like the hail in the below post). It looks like a lot more rain is in our immediate future as well. After a lot of bickering and complaining in my home this morning I decided it was up to me to turn the mood around. I do not always make the right choice but today was one of those days where I did. So we started with some exercise. First we got out on old dance aerobic video I had and then encouraged them to make one of their own. It was very very fun. Addie was great at it. Very funny! This was the opening credits that I did not get on the video for some reason, it went like this,

"Do you need some exercise? Introducing the best exercise girl in the world, Miss Addie Taylor!!"

(Okay, I have tried foe 3 days now to get this posted and the video kept having an error. Anyone have any idea why it does that? Ask me to see it if you want to!!)

Callen wanted to make one after that and since Addie kept saying things like, "Come on, girls" he was using phrases like, "come on boys" and he finished it off with, "Thanks for comin' boys" and it did not quite seem appropriate to post. Very funny though.

Next we moved on to Balloon volleyball. This was a huge hit. We tied crepe paper to two chairs for the net and batted away. They enjoyed learning how to serve the ball and how to score a point. Both are very competitive and get upset easily if there is any remote chance that the other is cheating so I had to ref the game closely. (p.s. on rainy days when we are not going anywhere the kids get to dress themselves!)

Cooper really got into too.

He loves to do exactly what the older kids do so he kept throwing it and laughing. This one he threw behind him.

The kids were chanting, "Go Cooper, go!"

I really did not have to much time to play because I was trying to pack and clean to go to Brian's parents for the weekend to celebrate Easter with them, but I thought I will never regret taking a moment to play with my kiddos. I love them so much. Even when it is raining outside we can be active inside! Maybe someday we will finally get some weather where we can go outside to enjoy spring!!
